COVID Vacation

In October my son's daycare closed for a week because of a COVID case.

I'm sure most of you reading this have had your own impromptu COVID staycation with your kids in the last year and a half.

I was lucky I did not have to cancel any shoots, and got to spend a few days in the country with my 3.5 year old. We packed up our hiking boots and headed to the mountains in Madison County where I grew up.

I rarely take photos for fun anymore. It was a nice break getting to shoot handheld and turn my brain off - no shot list, no tripod, no Photoshop.

We hiked in the woods and made monster faces.

I took photos of cows looking majestic.

Baby cow licking her lips at the thought of all the green grass around her.

Sunrise and a barn.

Flowing grasses and a shed.
